Edison Middle School’s transformation blends history and innovation, fostering a modernized learning environment. Working with Champaign Unit 4 School District, we preserved and updated the 105-year-old structure amid ongoing student occupancy, enhancing educational programs.

Flexible. Modern. Energized.

Extensive renovations revitalized the middle school, preserving its historic charm while boosting energy efficiency with advanced glazing. The redesigned gym now accommodates multiple PE classes and includes a nearby concession area. The renovated commons area serves as a flexible teaching space, and the old basement gym has been transformed into modern music rooms with salvaged wood flooring.
