Luxury Living Above the Han
The Brunnen 90 project is located in one of the busiest commercial areas of Seoul yet backs up to an expansive panoramic view of the Han river beyond. The developer was looking to create a luxurious high-end apartment building in a small plot of land in this dense area. The outcome was a small scale residential building, having small duplex apartments focused towards executives wanting to live in luxury without opening hand of convenience to the business district.
Fluid Form, Framed Views
The soft and more amorphic exterior language of the building’s façade alludes the fluidity of the river beyond, which accentuates the importance of bringing views of nature into this environment that is surrounded by dense business offices and metropolitan transportation systems. The extra small apartments respect the city’s views by having double story living rooms with corner views to the river and vegetation, thus bringing light, nature and serenity into the residences.
