Egypt’s government has relocated, ushering in a new era of redevelopment for Tahrir Square and its surroundings. The CairoHouse project, set to transform the historic Mogamma el Tahrir into a luxury hotel, promises to celebrate Egypt’s culture and catalyze revitalization efforts throughout Central Cairo.

The Impact

When designing CairoHouse, our focus was on honoring Cairo’s rich history while embracing its promising future. The transformation of the Mogamma el Tahrir into a contemporary lifestyle hotel under Marriott’s Autograph Collection brand marks a significant step towards positioning central Cairo for the years ahead. With 400 hotel keys, 100 service apartments, and exceptional amenities including a rooftop restaurant and garden-inspired venue, this project, alongside the redevelopment of the NDP site, will serve as a catalyst for the city’s broader revitalization.

With thoughtfully curated interiors paying homage to Egypt’s remarkable culture, Cairo House will offer expansive meeting spaces and the iconic Lotus Pavilion as a world-class events venue. It aims to become a sought-after destination for both locals and global travelers, featuring rooftop amenities with stunning views of the Nile and the city skyline, as well as top-notch dining experiences.
