Tim Barrick

Principal / CMO

Tim grew up in the City of Shelbyville, Indiana and is a 35-year veteran of marketing professional services.


He began his career as an architectural draftsman for a small A/E firm as a means of paying tuition while studying Construction Engineering and Technology at Indiana Purdue University at Indianapolis.

Soon after, he began doing business development and developing new client relationships as a way to secure his position with the firm. He then became Director of Business Development for one of Indiana’s oldest and most prominent Architectural firms. Tim joined RATIO in 1987 and was named a Principal in 1989.

Today, Tim collaborates with the leadership team to develop RATIO’s strategic plan and oversees firm finance in addition to merger and acquisition activities. He continues with his passion for business development and has played an integral role in RATIO’s successful market diversification and growth from a regional to national design firm.

Tim is a long-standing member of the Society for Marketing Professional Services (SMPS). He is a Fellow, past National President and Distinguished Life Member of the organization.
