The 1931 Thomas Taggart Memorial located in Riverside Park was named after a former Mayor credited as the Father of the Indianapolis Park System. The monument will receive a complete masonry restoration including 100% re-pointing of limestone veneer and interior brick masonry.
Restoring the monument to serve a new purpose, the Taggart Memorial Performance Venue will incorporate a new stage, seating for 650 people, and new buildings to provide actor changing areas, storage, ticketing, restrooms, and audio-visual equipment storage.
