With over 56,348 visits annually, the (re)imagined library envisioned expansion of every department, a whimsical new childrens area, quiet and attractive reading spaces, a multi-purpose room for library events, and an outdoor reading patio with views to San Juan Mountains, and improved staff work areas with a single service point.
The next phase consisted of a robust community engagement process, designed to test the options and work in groups to create user driven alternatives. RATIO used the input received to develop a final preferred concept consisting of a scaled floor plan and digital renderings of the renovated spaces.
